What are Primer's school hours and daily schedule?

A balanced school day designed for learning, growth, and connection.

Primer is a full-time, in-person school where students spend their days learning, collaborating, creating, and growing together. Each school day is intentionally designed to balance personalized academics, hands-on learning, movement, and opportunities to build community. Students attend school Monday through Friday.

  • School Day: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Arrival: Students may arrive beginning at 8:15 a.m.
  • Dismissal: Student pick-up begins at 3:00 p.m.

Each campus has established arrival and dismissal procedures to help students begin and end their day safely. Families will receive campus-specific information before the start of the school year.

Select campuses offer extended care for families who need additional flexibility.

  • Beforecare: Beginning at 7:30 a.m.
  • Aftercare: 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Availability varies by campus. Your Admissions representative or Campus Leader can let you know what options are available at your location.

While schedules vary by grade level, every student experiences a balance of personalized academic learning, small-group instruction, independent practice, collaborative projects, movement, lunch, recess, and time to build meaningful relationships with classmates and educators. Every part of the day is designed with purpose, helping students strengthen core academic skills, apply their learning in authentic ways, stay active, and grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity.
