The Primer 3–5 learning model

As students grow, their school day expands to include deeper academic learning, greater independence, and more opportunities to apply what they're learning.

Students build strong literacy skills through engaging reading, writing, and discussion before reinforcing those concepts during Lit Lab. In math, students participate in virtual instruction focused on core concepts and mathematical thinking, then strengthen their understanding through independent practice and skill-building in Math Lab. Each afternoon, students explore their interests through two Pursuits blocks that connect learning to real-world experiences while encouraging creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving. Throughout the day, students also have opportunities to connect with classmates during Opening Circle, lunch, recess, and Closing Circle.

Every part of the day is intentionally designed to help students build academic confidence, develop independence, and discover new interests while preparing for continued success in school and beyond.
