Math with Sydney

At Primer, we believe every student should learn math at the level that's right for them—not simply the level assigned by their age or grade. By understanding where each student is academically from the very beginning, we can provide the right support where they need it and the right challenge where they're ready to grow.

In our K–2 classrooms, students build strong mathematical foundations through small-group instruction, hands-on learning, and independent practice that develops number sense, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

Beginning in grades 3–8, students transition to a mastery-based model, advancing only after they've demonstrated a deep understanding of each concept. They also participate in live virtual math sessions, giving them opportunities to collaborate and learn alongside students across the Primer network.

Families can follow their student's progress throughout the year with weekly goals and formal benchmarks, providing a clear picture of growth every step of the way.
