Literacy with Meredith

Every student can become a confident reader.

Strong literacy skills open the door to everything that comes next. See how we help every student build a strong foundation by meeting them at their current level and helping them grow with confidence.

Our goal is simple: to help every student become a confident reader, thoughtful writer, and critical thinker. Strong literacy skills open the door to success across every subject and prepare students to engage with the world around them.

In our K–2 classrooms, students build the essential foundations of reading, including decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Learning takes place in small groups, allowing educators to meet each student where they are. Every school year begins with a diagnostic assessment so educators understand each student's current skills and provide instruction that helps them build mastery from day one.

Beginning in third grade, students make an important transition from learning to read to reading to learn. They engage with increasingly complex texts, build knowledge across subjects, strengthen their writing, and develop the skills to communicate ideas clearly and thoughtfully.
