Meet Alain Duarte

Every student capable of learning, growing, and accomplishing more than they realize.

Every student is capable of learning, growing, and accomplishing more than they realize. That's the belief that drives Alain Duarte, Campus Leader and 3–5 Primer Leader at Primer Milton-Pace. With nearly a decade of experience teaching and supporting students from preschool through middle school, Alain is passionate about helping children build strong academic foundations while developing the confidence to embrace challenges and discover their own path to success.

Alain joined Primer because it brings together the values that have always shaped his approach to education. He was drawn to Primer's commitment to entrepreneurship, educational excellence, and meaningful innovation that prepares students for the future. He believes students learn best when they're encouraged to think independently, solve problems, and take ownership of their learning in a supportive environment. As both a campus leader and classroom educator, he's excited to help create a school community where every child is encouraged to grow academically, personally, and confidently.

Throughout his career, Alain has taught students from Pre-K through second grade, supported middle school classrooms, and served as a tutor and instructional guide across elementary grade levels. What he enjoys most is helping students develop a growth mindset. Rather than seeing reading and math as subjects to fear, he encourages students to build a positive relationship with learning itself. By creating meaningful learning experiences and celebrating progress, Alain helps students replace frustration with curiosity and confidence while discovering they are capable of mastering skills that once seemed out of reach.

Alain hopes every student leaves his classroom believing in their own ability to succeed. He encourages students to see mistakes and setbacks not as failures, but as opportunities to learn, grow, and become more resilient.

"A failure under the right conditions can be the best driver of future success."

His goal is to create a classroom where students feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and challenging themselves because they know they'll be supported every step of the way. When children learn to trust themselves and persevere through challenges, they build skills that extend far beyond the classroom. Outside of school, Alain enjoys spending time with his family. He has been happily married for more than 21 years and is the proud father of his children. His favorite book is the Bible, and his faith, family, and commitment to serving others continue to shape both his life and his approach to education. Whether he's leading the Milton-Pace campus or working alongside students each day, Alain is passionate about creating a learning environment where every child feels encouraged to grow, embrace challenges, and discover just how much they're capable of achieving.
