Why does Primer have uniforms?

Creating a sense of community while keeping the focus on learning.

At Primer, our school uniform helps create a welcoming, consistent learning environment where students can focus on learning, build friendships, and feel like part of the school community. It also simplifies mornings for families and minimizes distractions during the school day. Students are expected to wear the approved Primer uniform each school day.

Students may wear:

  • Primer-branded polos or T-shirts
  • Navy uniform bottoms. Khaki bottoms will also be permitted during the 2026–2027 school year as campuses transition to navy as the standard uniform color.
  • Any closed-toe shoes, socks, backpack, and appropriate outerwear. Jackets and hoodies do not need to be Primer-branded.

Families may purchase uniform bottoms from the retailer of their choice, provided they meet Primer's uniform guidelines.

Uniforms help create a shared sense of belonging across our campuses while allowing students to focus on what matters most: learning, collaborating with classmates, and participating fully in school life. They also encourage routines that help students arrive prepared each day and develop habits that support success throughout the school year.
