Prologue~~~
The river was quiet and there was no noise, except for the soft trickle of water flowing. Every now and then a fish jumped out, then headed back into the deps of the water. Claws swiped the air, and a fish landed onto the riverbed, with a swift bite the fish is dead. "Good catch, Feathertail," a gray tom calls from behind "Graystripe! I didn't think I'd find you here." "Well you did," Graystripe answered. "Hey! What are you doing in Riverclan territory?" a light gray tom called from across the river, "Stonefur! Just my luck, finding two amazing, smart, powerful, tale--" "Alright we get it, you don't have to go on." Feathertail interrupted, "I have to find Bluestar and Firestar, there's something Important I must discuss with them..." "There will be four, one of each clan, they will find the past, to save future."
Chapter 1~~~
Finding prey in the middle of leaf bare was quite hard, but Dawncoat managed to bring back a measly rabbit. "Poor hunting again, I see?" Wolfstar questioned "Yes, not even a fare rabbit out there,". "Well that will do just fine for the new kits in Riverclan." "What? Are you mousebrained? We cant give prey to another clan in leaf bare!" Dawncoat was outraged, they have more food then us, so we can't give it away! They have the whole lake and all we have is these scrawny things! She thought, then stormed away to the freshkill pile, and took up a shrew. She over heard Wolfstar talking to Willowgrove, Windclans medicine cat, "Will you take this rabbit over to Riverclan?" Wolfstar asked, "Sure but why?" Willowgrove seemed worried "The lake has frozen over and not enough of their hunters know how to hunt regular prey." Why are we worrying about those fish-skinned fools, instead of our own clan? At least their not as bad a Thunderclan. She shivered remembering the sight, her mate died protecting her and her kit. Later that night Dawncoat's dreams were disturbed, and she couldn't get a wink of sleep. Then light burst through her vision and made her jump, and suddenly she didn't feel tired anymore, but she wasn't In Windclan she was In some kind of forest with prey practically jumping into her paws. At last, I'm finally asleep. "Hello Dawncoat," A quite familiar voice “I know that voice… Silverlight!" she mewed "Yes my dear, I have something I must tell you.” "So I'm in Starclan!" Dawncoat had never had dreams from Starclan. "Yes. Now I have come to tell you, There will be four, one from each clan, they will find the past, to save the future. One of them is you, and In two Sunrises you must go to the GreatOak, and there you will meet your companion's. I want you to know I will always love you and that you must follow your heart and who it go’s to."
Chapter 2~~~
Whitefeather flicked his tail in annoyance. Why did apprentices have to be so hard to deal with? "That's the third mouse you've missed today," he growled at Claypaw. "I'm sorry, Whitefeather," Claypaw sighed. "I guess I'm not myself today." "Well, try harder," Whitefeather barked. Then, he looked affectionately at the younger cat. "Claypaw, the reason I'm so hard on you is because you are fully capable of doing amazing things! I believe in you, you have to as well." With this sudden sense of inspiration, Claypaw perked up. "Thank you, Whitefeather," he bowed respectfully. "I promise, next time I won't let you down!" And he ran off after a scampering shrew. Whitefeather smiled proudly. Suddenly, he heard shrill laughs coming from a bush behind him. Crouching low, he prowled towards the sound. A head peeked out of the bush. A kit. She was pale brown, and had a rose on her right ear. "Riverclan," snarled Whitefeather. "Go back home, kit." "You can't make me," giggled the kit, contemptuously. "You may be the deputy here, but not in Riverclan. So you can't boss me." Whitefeather groaned impatiently. Suddenly, a much larger cat, sleek and grey came trotting up the path to ShadowClan territory. Whitefeather recognized him as Icecloud, the deputy of Riverclan. "I'm so sorry about this," Icecloud apologized. "My kit, I mean. She's quite rebellious. Come along Rosekit." Rosekit stuck out her tongue at Whitefeather and followed her father. "Deputy to deputy," Icecloud suddenly whispered to Whitefeather. "I think StarClan wants something. I heard that a WindClan warrior had a weird dream from them..." Whitefeather nodded. "I'll look into it," he promised. "Just make sure Rebellious Rosekit here isn't seen on our territory anymore." "Of course," Icecloud agreed. And with that, he and Rosekit padded away to Riverclan camp.
That night, Whitefeather twitched in his sleep. A grey-blue cat appeared to him in his dreams. "Whitefeather," he began. "I am Blackstar of StarClan. I have a prophecy for you. In two moons, you must make the journey to the Great Oak, and find companions for your new destiny." "What is the prophecy?" Whitefeather managed to stammer. Blackstar suddenly looked straight ahead, and as he began to fade away, he said, "There will be four, one from each clan, they will find the past, to save the future..." Whitefeather woke with a jolt. He breathed shakily. He looked up. "StarClan," he muttered, raspy. "You'd better be right about this..."
Chapter 3~~~
The smell of mousebile rose in Junepaw's throat, "Yuck! Crowpaw why do you have to be so mean? This is what happens!" Junepaw's wail woke Sageeyes, "Well I suppose this is how you treat your elders eh'?" "Oh! I'm sorry my brother is just such a nuisance!" she started again, "He's always getting us into trouble, I just wish he had some sense." "Well get on with our ticks and fleas, then I'll come watch you fight." Speckledsight said in a groggy tone "Ok ok, I will, but promise!". Once Junepaw finished with the elders she went out for a hunt, their first assessment would start two sunrises from now, and she had to be ready. "Ugh! That's the second starling I've missed, I guess a mouse and a thrush will be okay for now." Junepaw was frustrated with how bad a hunter she was, the first starling basically flew into her paws, and the second one looked like it was already dead. When she came back to the camp many cats were gathering around the freshkill pile including the elders, so once she added her freshkill to the pile she padded over to the elders. "Don't forget my promise!" Junepaw mewed happily, "You wouldn't let us," Raspberry mumbled "Alright go get Acornfang, and we'll meet you in the training hollow." Speckledsight mewed, as Junepaw bounced off. "Now remember what I told you, never take your eyes off the opponent." Acornfang began "And when I come toward you--" "I jump up and slash!" Junepaw imitated in the air. "Good now, go!" Acornfang ran toward Junepaw, but she jumped in the air, landed on his back and pulled his scruff. "How did you... what? That is a move that an apprentice learns when they are only one moon away from becoming warriors. Where did you learn it?" Junepaw could tell how surprised he was, even if she ran all the way to riverclan camp. "Well I uh, I just, my kittypet friend taught it to me." She answered "I never knew a kittypet who could fight like that," Acornfang still sounded impressed, and she saw a bit of pride flicker in his eyes. When Junepaw settled down to sleep she saw a starry figure in the apprentices den It called out "You are the one Junepaw, in two sunrises head to the GreatOak, There will be four, one from each clan, they will find the past, to save the future..." Suddenly the whole world went white, then dark again "Gingerpaw!" Junepaw whispered "Yes? What's the matter? Some cat would think you had ants in your pelt, with all your scrabbling." Gingerpaw mewed groggily "I had a dream, there was this cat with stars at its paws and it was a ginger tom, he said that I am the one and I must go to the great oak two sunrises from now. Then he said *There will be four, one from each clan, they will find the past, to save the future. *I just don't get it!" Junepaw wailed quietly so she didn't wake any cat. "Junepaw! That's wonderful, you're in a prophecy from Starclan! Don't you know who you talked to, it was Firestar! Also I've heard about a cat called Dawncoat from Windclan, she's had the same dream!" Gingerpaw almost squealed loud enough to reach Windclan, and a couple apprentices yowled at her to quite down, and once they went to sleep Junepaw was dazed "I'm a part of a prophecy? A prophecy from Starclan!"
